Pole sana

Very sorry. I heard that so many times today, or pole ( sorry). Many of the Tanzanian nurses, doctors and staff, knew that the election was today and that we Americans -5 of us right now- would be very distressed and sad about the outcome. They are so very interested in the election, and several of them understand the dire outcome.

The Tanzanian people are so very kind and caring…. I felt wrapped in their kindness today.

I was also grateful to have “good work” that kept me very busy in the Emergency today. There was an accident between a Safari Vehicle and Bus here in town early today, the ER was full and the team “hopping” , I was very impressed how it all ran. Three of the patients got full head, chest and abdomen CT scans. I saw a lot. Two people in the accident were European tourists and grateful for the good care.

So, grateful for the distraction and being in this very Good ! place.

Asante sana( thank you very much).

It was a tough day, learning that Trump won is devastating and scarry! I can’t imagine what most of the world thinks with a felon as president, and he will pardon himself, disaster. Try to stay positive and enjoy your adventure my sister, love you! Beth
